Team Greetabl's Ultimate Gift-Giving Checklist

Holiday gift-giving can be a stressful and grueling process. In the grocery store, you realize – I should really get our delivery person a gift. While taking a shower, you remember your distant co-worker got you something last holiday season. And man, it’s been a tough year for teachers. You should get them something extra special for Christmas. The list goes on, but we think you get the point: there’s a lot of people to keep up with on your gift-giving list.

I mean, let’s face the facts. Remembering everyone to shop for is almost more taxing than picking out the gifts, wrapping each, and delivering them to the respective recipients… combined. Especially in 2020, our mental headspace feels limited. Our bandwidth certainly isn’t operating at its fullest capacity. Not to mention, we all need extra encouragement right now. You have to remember the people you might not otherwise buy for (because #2020), all while running on short fumes. Before you get overwhelmed, we encourage you to pause and take a deep breath. Open up your meditation app if you need to – we can wait.

Feel any better?

To spare you from the dreaded remorse and guilt, we’re including alllll the people you need to think about this holiday season. From essential workers to family members, we’ve got your bases covered. Let’s start with building your list and we’ll go from there.

This is good information, y’all. You don’t need a pen and paper to chicken scratch all this down – just refer to our downloadable guide below:

Included, you can outline a budget for each recipient and keep a running total of how much you’ve spent. This takes the numbers out of your head and puts it on paper. Ah, sweet relief.

Your list is built, your budget is set. (If you read that to the tune of ‘Twas a Night Before Christmas, you get a holiday bonus…) You now are faced with the task of selecting gifts. Let’s not make a mountain out of a molehill. You can DO this! This year especially, it’s about the thought. A hand-written note can go a long way. Freshly baked cookies mean more than you realize. In a time of social-distancing and isolation, people just want to feel seen. Don’t overthink what you’re giving, but who you’re giving to and why. Sentiment counts!
